The Old Parochial House is located 10 miles from Urlingford which is just off the Dublin / Cork M8 motorway at exit 4

Directions from Urlingford: Driving through Urlingford (from Dublin direction) turn left onto Togher Road (R389, signposted Killenaule). Continue on this road for approx. 3 miles. Turn left onto the R690 (signposted Mullinahone) and continue for approx 6 miles. At staggered crossroads turn left onto the R691. The Old Parochial House is located on the right 100m past the old creamery.

  • The Old Parochial House is located just 2 miles from the famous Famine Warhouse. During the great famine the Warhouse was the scene of the principal action of the 1848 Rebellion by the Young Irelanders. The house now exhibits the history of the Famine, mass emigration and the rebellion - admission is free.
  • Slievenamon, the most written about mountain in Ireland is just a 10 minute drive away. It offers an easy climb to a spectacular 360º view of just about all of Tipperary, Kilkenny and Waterford.
  • For walking enthusiasts three approved national loop walks are located within 5 miles of the Old Parochial House at Grange Crag and Lough Doire Bhile.
  • A 20 minute drive takes you to Cashel, home of the Rock of Cashel the most visited Heritage site in Ireland, the Bolton Library which houses the smallest book in Ireland and some great restaurants.
